Welcome to the ECHO Web site.

We are a group of runners, mostly from the east side of Cincinnati, who share a passion for running and wish to share that with others. Our club began in the spring of 2000 and we have enjoyed the company of many new running friends in our short history. 

While harriers are technically cross country runners, we do the vast majority of our running on the streets. We just couldn't make a catchy acronym with East Cincinnati Road Runners. We do try to do a little trail running to keep up with the spirit of harriers. We are clearly NOT hashers, as in Hash House Harriers.

We are composed of men and women of quite a variety of running talent and experience. Several of our runners have just started running within the past few months and are working their way up in distance and endurance. Others compete for age group prizes in local races. Generally, our runs have several groups of differing pace and distance.

We get together each Saturday morning at 7 am at the Parkside Christian Church parking lot to start our run. The church has allowed us to use the lobby for warm-ups, stretching and organizing (and last minute bathroom breaks) before the run. Most of the group will run either 3, 4 or 6 miles. Those in marathon training will add additional miles from one of our 20 miles of mile-split-marked loop courses that all start and finish at the church. After the run we traditionally enjoy each others company at Big Apple Bagels, our team shirt sponsor.

We have 20 miles of course in loops of 3 to 6 miles all starting and ending at Parkside Christian Church. All courses are marked with orange letters at the mile markers.
