Just in case you are not familiar with how the "Guess Your Place"
contest works, here is a brief explanation.
- Prior to the Thanksgiving Day Race you need to inform the group of your
prediction for your finishing place in the race.
- After the race, the person with the lowest percentage error is declared
the winner and is awarded a traveling prize.
Example:
You guess your finishing place will be 5,555 and your actual finishing
place was 5,298.
Percentage Error = (Predicted - Actual) / Actual
Percentage Error = (5,555 - 5,298) / 5,298 = 4.85% |
